Bobby Julian

Bobby is the CCAP Representative in the Philippines. He coordinates CCAP’s activities and contributes to the design and implementation of its projects in country. Bobby began his work in energy and the environment in 1992 as an investment banker advising on infrastructure finance to international utilities and project developers. Previous to that, he was CFO of an insurance company and COO of an investment holding company for industrials. From finance, Bobby graduated to project development in clean energy and green infrastructure. He later expanded his remit to cover policy studies and design for bilateral development agencies, international finance institutions and the Philippine Congress. In the area of climate, Bobby was a member of the Inter-Agency Committee on Climate Change, the predecessor to the Philippine NDA, and adviser to the Co-Chair of the Climate Finance Committee of the UNFCCC.

Bobby had been teaching for 30 years. He concluded his career at the Development Academy of the Philippines, the training institute of the Philippine government, instructing aspiring directors on public finance in the graduate program for public management. Bobby is an honorary member of Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy of the UK. He graduated with a major in Philosophy, a minor in Economics and a whole lot of other interests from the Ateneo de Manila University in 1978.
