The Center for Clean Air Policy (CCAP) partnered with the AMNex webinar series to present, Adaptation + Mitigation Nexus in the Built Environment.
The webinar originally aired on Friday March 28, 2014 at 1:00 – 2:30pm EST.
The discussion was led by:

  • Chris Pyke, Vice President of Research for the US Green Building Council, (USGBC).Chris will discuss the important role that building certification programs play in promoting energy efficiency and resilience.
  • Christopher A. LindsayManager, Government Relations, The IAPMO Group.  Christopher will speak to the importance of adopting stretch codes (jurisdictions mandating codes/standards that go beyond normal baseline levels of efficiency &and international examples) and training the multiple layers of professionals to these higher efficiency standards.
  • Debra BallenGeneral Counsel and Senior Vice President, Public Policy, Insurance Institute for Building and Home Safety (IBHS).  Debra will discuss IBHS’s Fortified Program and standards with a focus on building weatherization and Resilience STAR.
